1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / STRIPES AND HOUNDSTOOTH SHIRTS! on: April 26, 2007 07:03:15 PM
Haha, I hate how I'm lacking time to post some of the stuff I've been up to, but I finally got the chance.

Here are two recent pieces that I'm quite fond of:

and...

belt?

or no belt? deal! haha

I love how I can keep the same stern facial expression throughout. I'm not that mad looking all the time, I promise Smiley
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / LEOPARD PRINT PURSE. on: March 18, 2007 10:17:13 PM
I made this for my Mom's birthday (yes, i'm still into making her presents, haha) and I plan on making one for myself incorporating red vinyl opposed to the black.

It was made using a Mccalls 4936? I believe.
I found it fairly easy to follow. The zipper was put in differently than I'm use to and I'm sure I'll have better outcomes on that matter in the future. I'm all about using old binder cardboard for the base instead of plastic canvas, it really holds its shape quite nicely.

comments, critque, thanks! Smiley
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Babydoll, Sailor, Puffed Sleeves, Houndstooth, I got it down! on: March 05, 2007 09:22:35 PM
So I thought to myself today that I haven't made a post in a while  Tongue
& therefore I'm making this one: a combined one of some more recent work of mine.
comments and critique are wonderful  Smiley

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / chococat tote bag & hello kitty hat =) on: February 09, 2007 08:27:58 PM
felt like posting up some semi-recent works.
looks like i've been in a sanrio mood  Cheesy

this is a chococat tote i made for someone who got flaked on in my hello kitty and friends swap.

and that would be a hello kitty hat i made for a school assignment. the course is clothing and housing design, so we were required to make a hat box to 'house' the hat. kinda lame, but the hat makes my batz maru stuffie look pretty sweet.

that's all for now guys.

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / making a sailor hat? on: October 23, 2006 06:32:43 PM
so everyone knows halloween is..well soon. and i'm a last minute type of person. haha i really need a sailor hat to complete my costume and too cheap to buy one let alone find one to buy.
setting the story aside now, does anyone have an idea of how i can go about making a sailor hat.
i have a vague idea of putting together the brim and...bucket? of the hat, but my vague ideas don't take me too far.

any help is greatlllyyy appreciated!
7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / stenciling on jersey/sweatshirt fabric? on: October 05, 2006 07:04:15 PM
well,  i'm up and at it sewing up a new hoodie and i want to do some stenciling on it. now, i just wanted to ask before i get too gung ho about it, is there any precautions i should take whilst stenciling on jersey fabric (sweatshirt fabric with the slight fleece on the inside)? i'm using the speedball/freezer paper method.

thanks!!
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / HELLO KITTY AND FRIENDS SWAP GALLERY. on: September 29, 2006 03:08:47 PM
the gallery is up!

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / sewing and reconstructing necklines? on: September 25, 2006 07:25:13 PM
EDIT: okay reading over that, it kind of doesn't make sense.

SO what i need to know is, why is it that when i sew a neckline it sometimes flops over? (this is without using ribbing, just stretchy t-shirt fabric)

AND what is the best way to put in a neckline using ribbing? (from scratch and lets say if i wanted to modify a regular t-shirt to have a lower neckline)

please help! and thanks in advance for any tips/tricks.
