This was my first time playing with fondant...I was aiming for a cute cake, and what's cuter than polka dots?

Here's a cake that my boyfriend and I whipped (4 hours of work count as "whipped"?) up for his nephews 3rd birthday. All he asked for was a Pablo (from the Backyardigans) cake...I think we delivered pretty well....


It was quite sad when they started cutting him all up!

PS...Fondant is way fun!

So, I am helping my pal plan her sisters Bridal Shower, and she was thinking of doing a tea party theme...finger sandwiches, cute cakes and the like. Any other ideas?

Her shoulders came out all screwey, but that was becuase I was in a bit of a rush

I am opn a quest for a good pattern to create a mans tie....My little (although he is much taller than me) brother is graducating college this year and I would like to make him a set of 10 or so ties....I have found a few patterns, but was wondering if anyone has tried this before.

I have been using a new wool that I found at my LYS, and I find that while I am knitting, I get thee really neat felted beads on the yard. I guess it is from the fibers building up.
Any idea on how to keep the form? Will they loose shape if I try to use it for something?
