2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Metal Rings? on: January 05, 2006 01:22:46 PM
Hey everyone!
Sorry for the text only post but I am looking for somewhere to buy those metal rings that you can use for purse handles?  I'm not even sure what they are ideally used for, but I know they look like big bangles .. and I want them big enough to fit around my wrists.  If anyone gets the jist of what I am trying to ask for and knows of a Canadian site where I might be able to order these from it would be much appreciated if you could leave me a link to it!  Thanks so much!! Smiley
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / The good ol Rainbow Brite on: October 26, 2005 01:29:56 PM
Hi everyone,
Theres a big Halloween event downtown this weekend and me and my friends are going.  I just went out to walmart and bought a few metres of blue satin material to try and whip a version of this up in two days.  Think its possible?  Does anyone have any ideas on how to make a shirt and skirt like that and possibly join them together?  The rest is a breeze.  I got the leg/arm warmers and the accessories like the belt with the star and whatnot.  Any suggestions would help!

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Dimensions for purses! on: September 11, 2005 12:12:32 PM
Hey everyone, I'm gonna be making some purses to sell at some craft fairs in the upcoming weeks.  I was just wondering if anyone could give me a general measurement dimension for a purse that would be a good average size bag.  Not too big, not too small.  I plan on making them somewhat close to the jordy style.  I would appreciate any suggestions for measurements!  Thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if I have posted these before (because I post my finished items on several sites), but here are a couple of stencils I've done!  The Jim Morrison stencil was later turned into a bag much like the Jimi Hendrix one:

7  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / help with a machine problem? please! :) on: September 29, 2004 08:49:22 PM
ok .. i searched and searched but i have no idea where this topic should go so i'm putting it here.  lol.  i'm fairly new to the sewing machines.  i only learned how to use them this year.  my mother has a new machine and i have been using hers to teach myself all the ropes of sewing.  its been going great ... and i havent been having any minor hitches until today.
the tension seems to be messed up on my machine.  when i sew .. the under-thread is all loose and all over the place.  it still sews but the thread is not sewing straight and its kind of loose in places and a little sig-zaggy (though i am not using the zig zag stitch option) .  i tried EVERYTHING to fix it and my mother even had a go at it .. but neither of us can figure out the problem.  so .. i'm turning to all you sewing experts for help.  any ideas?  troubleshooting?  your help will be much appreciated since i am in crafting withdrawl not having my machine in standard operation!  thanks so much!!!
