51  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / bare floor no more swap? on: April 02, 2006 05:24:23 PM
i'm still in my first month so i can't participate, but i wanted to suggest this: how about a swap where you design and make a rug for your swap partner? everyone can use a fluffy, fuzzy lil mat to lay on Smiley
52  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / coffee tumblers! on: March 31, 2006 06:47:30 PM
you know how starbucks (and probably other stores, if you're not into supporting corporate america:)) has those hot-drink tumblers where you can decorate your own piece of paper and then stick it into the slot and have your decoration show through? what about a swap where people decorate a tumbler for their swap bud? people could also include some hot drink mixes like cocoa or varieties of tea in the package!
53  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / homemade journal on: March 28, 2006 08:07:16 PM
hi!

once again, i'm too new to join a swap, but i wanted to suggest the idea of a homemade journal swap! you could make the journal, decorate the covers to your liking, then write in/draw in/post pics/collages into the first few pages and then send it off to your swap bud!

what do you think?
54  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / pj bottoms! on: March 27, 2006 05:26:24 PM
hi friends!

i don't have an official pattern, but i was wondering if anyone wanted to sew a pair of pajama bottoms with me. it shouldn't be too hard...in fact i sewed a pair for my brother yesterday! i used some sweatpants that fit him as a kind of model to go off of. i just want to see the fabrics and designs you all choose! people find some REALLY cute fabrics for pjs sometimes...want to try it out with me?

i'm too new to actually join or start a swap, but i was wondering if anyone was interested in doing a pj swap - i'd love to just see pictures of what you all come up with!

hey there arizonan craftsters! Smiley
i was wondering if i've got any fellow tucsonans out there! would any of you be interested in a kind of unofficial swap? since i'm new here i've got to wait until i join any real swaps Sad BUT since we'd all be in town, we could meet in person to do our swap instead of mailing it. sound fun? let me know...

edit: also, could you guys tell me where you shop for cheap fabric? it would be much appreciated Smiley thanks!
