32  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: The Shallows and the Deeps on: July 16, 2009 11:12:46 AM
Wow! I really love the 'shallows' part. The squares on the diagonal makes it really interesting to look at.

And, in theatre at least, if you bleed on a part of the costume (and hope it's not a visible part) it's considered good luck for the performer wearing it. The little bit of blood will appease any bad spirits/juju that may come a persons way. So, it's a protective mark of love, even!  Cheesy

That's beautiful! I love the little bit of asymmetry in the design. Looks really elegant but minimalist. I'd wear it in a heartbeat.  Smiley
35  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Viva Mexico!!! aka the Mexican kitsch swap gallery! on: July 06, 2009 08:56:07 PM
I attempted fimo skulls, too... but you'll notice none made the cut into the swap package.  Embarrassed 3-D is not my thing. I'm really jealous of all you sculpty chicas in this swap!

And I'm glad the extra got there today! I was hoping it would. Smiley

A couple of really fantastic packages! I love both of those shrines.

I like it! Great find.

What did you use to front those side areas? Are those new doors or fabric?

That's a really sweet idea; no better way to ship a cake overseas Wink. I bet he'll laugh (and maybe get a little misty.) I love the 'frosting' around the top and bottom edge.
