My daughter and I love the song 'Treehugger' by Kimya Dawson http://www.kimyadawson.com/. Every time I sing it to her I visualise the lyrics and started thinking that I could embroider them for her for her birthday. So here they are with their accompanying lyrics!

The flower said i wish I was a tree


The tree said I wish I could be a different kind of tree


The cat wished that it was a bee


The turtle wished that it could fly, really high into the sky, over rooftops and then dive, deep into the sea


And in the sea there is a fish, a fish that has a secret wish, a wish to be a big cactus with a pink flower on it


I'm pretty happy with how they turned out - although the turtle is a little bland... I might have to fill-in the rooftops of the houses or something to introduce some colour.

Anyway, hope my daughter likes them!

This is the world's worst photo of the world's best hoops... I can't tell you how much I love them. I took this photo in the dim morning light so I'll add a better photo when I can. The details, the colours, the fact it has a tree in it - everything is just perfect and I love it to bits. I even carried it around with me all day just so i could look at it... Thanks so much giddygirlie - I will treasure it always!
