2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Looking for unfinished wood frames on: May 13, 2010 04:55:35 PM
I am in search of some unfinished wooden picture frames to decoupage and add embelishments to. I would like frames that have thick border so that I can have a fair amount of paper showing and room to add embelishments. The only ones I see have thin borders and wouldn't show enough "fun" stuff. Also I would like them to have glass too.

Anyone know where I should look?Huh Huh
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Wooden Picture Frames on: May 13, 2010 04:07:49 PM
I am looking for some plain, unfinished wooden picture frames. I am wanting to decoupage on them and add embelishments. Does anyone know where to find some?
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Cutting vinyl with the circut on: April 20, 2010 07:17:44 PM
I have had my circut expressions for a few months now. I have cut quite a bit of paper with it and I absolutely LOVE it!!! I have also had a roll of vinyl and a roll of transfer paper lying around for a few months as well. I am a little intimidated to dive in and cut some vinyl. Does anybody have any tips or hints for doing it successfully?

What number do you have the blade on? What about the other variables?

Does anyone know of any step by step instructions I can use to hold my hand?

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / It's in the details-Lamp on: March 11, 2010 01:53:42 PM
I bought a set of lamps from Big Lots last year for a really good price. The set came with a floor lamp which is really what I wanted. So I figured the two other smaller lamps were just a plus. I have been using them but they are just kinda blah, not really special. I remembered these chandelier crystals that I had been saving for....something? I know it's not a big change or a big deal....but I have to say I really like the lamp now!!!

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Revived Cabnet on: March 11, 2010 01:13:03 PM
A friend wanted to know if I wanted this cabnet, I of course took it. It was her grandfathers and all she asked was that I put it to good use! It took a little while to get around to it as it was a MESS. I don't have any before pics. But it had a dark red finish, part of it had been primered, then part of it was sanded. The door wasn't attached and there was no hardware. You could tell they had intended to do SOMETHING with it but never could do it.

You can see a little bit of what the original wood looked like on the inside of the door there.

It now houses my daughters craft supplies. I have a feeling all the crafting is going to continue on with her!!!

Hope you like!  Grin
8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / What to do with an Ikea nightstand on: March 10, 2010 08:51:04 PM
This nightstand comes from my before marriage life. It doesn't really fit into my decorating style, which is has a lot to do with antiques and shabby chic/french country. It's a bit too modern for me. Anyone have any ideas what I can do with it? Or should I just chuck it?

This is what it looks like:
9  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Sealing Mosaics? on: February 16, 2010 03:31:54 PM
I finished a mosaic project on top of a cabnet that was given to me. I used tiles to do the whole thing. Now I am trying to figure out what kind of sealer I need to seal it? Do you need to use different sealers for different materials? ie: glass vs. tile? Or is it all the same?

TIA!!!  Grin
10  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Large Tile on: February 10, 2010 08:58:48 PM
My mom gave me several large (12 x 12in I think) tiles that were left over from a bathroom remodel. They are just plain beige tiles. I am not really sure what I want to do with them. Any ideas?

OH and I LOVE to see photos for inspiration!!!! Cheesy
