What if you already posted a pic in the Halloween board? Can you still post it to the challenge if it meets all the other criteria?

2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Joker, harley quinn, batman and pirate costume and a halloween wreath on: October 25, 2009 05:53:59 PM
I made all of these costumes for this year. I was harley quinn and DH was joker from Dark Knight. My best friend was a pirate wench and her son batman. I also made the halloween wreath using some beaded spiders that I think I got in a craftster swap a couple years ago.

3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! on: January 22, 2008 01:54:37 PM
I've gotten pierced at Sacred Heart, my nose, they did a good job with that, but that was about 7 years ago. I also got my first tat at Texas Tattoo Emporium about 6-7 years ago not too far from there, but the guy who did mine has since moved and I'm not in the Houston area any more either. There are a ton of tattoo shops in that area of Houston. How I picked my artist was to go and look at portfolios and find one that I liked and did a lot of the style of what I wanted. I proably went to about 10 shops before picking one and making an appointment. Good luck.
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Shop the Swap round 10 discussion on: January 14, 2008 01:34:18 PM
Sorry about being so absent this round everyone. After the break-in I've just been so busy trying to get everything put back together and caught up. And now today I just found out that my Grandmother has passed away on my father's side. So, I'm getting ready to take off and rent a car to drive to my Dad's house in Alabama and then drive him and my step-mom the rest of the way to Wabash, IN. He can't drive because of the accident with his leg still. Well, there's hubby to take me to the car rental place so got to run off already. I'll eventually be back to spend my points and maybe open a shop.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Ravenscroft Mr. Greenjeans on: January 10, 2008 08:54:52 AM
I finished my Mr. Greenjeans using Blue Moon Socks that Rock Heavyweight in the Ravenscroft color. Used 3 skeins, almost every bit of it. I made the size Large with the only mod being that I made the stockinette portion of the sleeves about 2 inches longer than called for so that it would be full length sleeves rather than 3/4 length. I also haven't found the perfect button yet so it is being held closed with a shawl pin for these pictures.

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Shop the Swap Round 9 gallery on: January 10, 2008 04:50:59 AM
Thanks so much for the scarves DDS! The girls love them! They have been planning superman with the hats and scarves since it has been too warm to wear them outside!
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: 12 Days Of Christmas Swap 2007 Gallery on: December 31, 2007 02:19:38 PM
I finished my gallery! Check out the awesome last two days that gingerquilts sent!

Also, I usually order my microscope slides from ebay, a box of 50 is around 5-7 bucks plus shipping. Lots of options there.

I'm sorry about the situation with your son Selkie. Having grown up an Army brat I know how tough military life can be at times. I hope your husband gets to come home soon.

9  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: 12 Days Of Christmas Swap 2007(Feedback given after 12 pics are posted. Than on: December 30, 2007 07:59:07 AM
The whole thing was very weird, don't know if he was interrupted when the house sitter showed up or if he was hoping to come back later with friends or what. The cops seem to think it might be a local crack head that saw us pack up and leave and knew the place was empty or someone who knew we were going out of town but he doesn't match anyone we know that we told we were leaving. The joys of living in New Orleans, although I guess it could happen anywhere. Anyone have a recommendation on home security systems? We're thinking Brinks. Also probably going to fence the back yard. It was hard getting to sleep last night that's for sure.

Oh, one more thing - there's a little voting thing for the January Knit Girl going on over here - http://www.badknitgirls.com/ for knitters with tattoo's. I'm not doing so hot in the polls since I've been out of town and haven't been able to promote myself so if you get a chance you can go over and vote for me! Grin
