1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / My Craftrooom, Cleaned And Organized on: March 29, 2007 03:58:49 PM
It's been ten months since we moved into this apartment, and FINALLY the room is cleaned and organized. It was where we put EVERYTHING while we were unpacking, so it was a huge mess.

This is the bookcase right next to the door. The boxes hold incomplete projects, because I can never finish something before going on to something new.

Yarn and fabric storage. My yarn stash is too big.

The Comic Book Chair. Most annoying project ever. I've been working on it on and off for months: decoupaging old comic books onto this chair. I should not have chosen a chair with round spindles, it's a pain in my butt. Someday I'll finish it.

I like to hang random things above the bookcase. Originally, I tried to put up shelves, but the apartment is old and I couldn't find any studs, just lathe board. The mittens are mismatches because I spun the yarn on my drop spindle, but I didn't spin enough for matching pairs.

This is from the window looking towards the door. That's our cat, Totoro. Usually I keep my spinning wheel covered with a sheet because he loves to try and chew through the drive band. String is Toti's greatest enemy, he'll swallow thread right off the spool.

So Orson doesn't get jealous, here's his picture. He's on this grass-green piece of fun fur that I got at a Jo-Ann store's closing for ninety cents a yard. Orson has fallen in love with this fabric, and just lays on it and purrs.
