I too thought it looked like a double helix. :-p It's very cool looking.

Wow! Very cool. What gaming convention?

You got them at a Joanns fabric? Do you think ones in Massachusetts would have those beads?

Both unusual AND colorful. A lovely combination!
24  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Self-Portrait Tree on: November 12, 2006 08:06:06 AM
Wow. This is amazing on many levels. I like how it looks: the copper wire tree truck with the delicate paper leaves, it's just beautiful. Then to hear that the leaves are made out of records of your life? It's just a very cool project.
25  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Old to new! My first totally easy recon! on: November 12, 2006 08:04:02 AM
That chair must be much happier now. I love the fabric!
26  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Wall hanging for my mum... I don't think I like it! on: November 12, 2006 08:03:01 AM
I really like it, I think it's nice just the way it is. But I agree with the above the poster, about quilting the background a little, that will let the flowers pop.

Your mom is very lucky!
27  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: My Garden Gnome and Robot on: November 12, 2006 08:02:19 AM
I'm absolutely loving the garden gnome costume. It's a great idea. Mind if I steal it for next year?

30  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Mystery yarn - what the heck is it? on: November 01, 2006 08:03:57 AM
I'm almost positive that's Red Heart acrylic...I think the color is "Polo" (or something like that).

I agree... I've got it in the pastel shades.

It's a pretty yarn, though. Makes cool looking mittens.
