2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Oily Skin on: September 06, 2004 10:03:01 PM
My brother has really oily skin, he already uses witch hazel. So my question is do any of you know of an essential oil I can add to witch hazel to help? I have on hand - lavender e.o., sweet orange e.o.,and peppermint e.o.  I have a recipe that calls for tangerine e.o., could I use the orange in it's place?  Any suggestions would be great.
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / recipe for hand deoderizing soap? on: May 27, 2004 10:28:40 AM
Hi I was wondering if any of you have a recipe for this type of soap? I've seen it somewhere online and can't remember where!! I know it has coffee in it,but that's all I remember. It's supposed to remove the smell of fish, onion, and garlic from your hands after cooking. Any recipe or link would be great..thanks!

* I forgot to mention it needs to be a m&p recipe!! *

5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / fragrance oil safe for skin? on: May 10, 2004 09:59:11 AM
I went to Old Town ,San Diego this past weekend and they had a soap store there (herbal, all natural stuff)..so I bought a peach fragrance oil the owner (she makes all the soaps) recomended I use it in potpourri or as a room fragrance, and that she doesn't recomened using fragrance oil on the skin. My question is if anyone has ever had a problem using fragrance oils in their products?? A lot of the recipes I have call for either an essential oil or fragrance oil.   Huh
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / SIMPLE NO-SEW BIKINI TOP COVER UP on: April 29, 2004 01:19:44 PM
OK, I GOT THE IDEA FROM WWW.ohmySTARS.NET (THANKS!! SHE HAS A LOT OF CUTE IDEAS!) AND PUT MY OWN TWIST ON IT....TAKE THE DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING A HALTER TOP AND APPLY THEM TO A MEN'S UNDERSHIRT TANK TOP (A.K.A.  WIFE BEATERS)...THEY COME KINDA LONG SO YOU CAN LEAVE AS IS OR...TRIM TO DESIRED LENGTH LEAVING A "TAIL" ON ONE SIDE,TRIM THAT UP THE MIDDLE AND TIE AT YOUR SIDE. SORRY I DON'T HAVE A PICTURE,BUT IT'S VERY SIMPLE AND (AFTER HAVING 2 KIDS!) COVERS UP WHAT YOU DON'T WANT SEEN!!!
