1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Obama Knits, Just in time for election night! on: November 04, 2008 11:10:14 PM
Holy smokes!  That's totally rad!  I've been knitting for years and I don't have the attention span to do that, lol.
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: How to Tie Shoes on: April 26, 2008 06:21:56 PM
That's a very good idea!  I had the hardest time trying to teach a kid how to tie his shoes even while doing hand over hand with him.  Step by Step pictures is a great idea.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Whitney from the Hills hat - so pretty I even dreamed about it last night! on: April 03, 2008 04:50:50 AM
I was thinking the same thing when I was watching the show: "I love that hat...I want to make it."  I looked through the stitch dictionary books that I have, which is...2, and I wasn't able to find that stitch in them.  Poo.  On the way home she was wearing a grey one that I thought was cute too, but it looked like a basic bulky slouch hat.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / first post and finished projects! on: March 19, 2008 07:15:07 AM
I've been lurking for years and I finally decided to post something.  My hands have been itching to make something and I've gone on some crazy knitting binge, finishing my projects in a week and a half.  Since I have both work and school, that's a big thing.  I hope my pictures work.

Cable and lace hat made of Cascade Sierra.  Its so lusciously soft, its ridiculous.

Three tam hat from Knitty.  This hat was easy to do.  I initially had it with a grey yarn, instead of white, but the colors looks kind of bleh.  Noro is a beautiful yarn to work with just to see the different color changes.  I used size 9 needles vs the size 6 because I like my hats a lot slouchier than most.

Raised eyelet clutch.  Just needs a lining.  I was thinking about running ribbon through the eyelets, but I'm not too sure about that right now.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: my take on the t-shirt rug on: March 19, 2008 07:02:09 AM
I've always wanted to make a star rug, but never thought to use t-shirts.  It looks great!

I love the chocolate brown color and the knots for the handles are a very nice touch
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My knitting projects!! Hurray! (Lots o' pics) on: March 19, 2008 06:58:21 AM
Those wrist warmers look very cool!  The cable work looks difficult.
