1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 10 on: July 27, 2014 06:49:04 PM
With this being one of my favorite swaps of all time, I had to check to see if we're getting close to sign ups! I'm itching to make some holiday goodies!

My partner was waiting to open on Christmas, but I haven't seen photos posted yet so I thought that I would put up a few since I fell in love with the stocking I made her:

I went with a "Naughty\Nice" for her package and made a stocking that can be flipped over depending on her mood. Since she wasn't going to open her package until Christmas and because not everything fit inside, I also made a "Santa Sack to put it all in:

As for the goodies, they were all Naughty and Nice as well:

Nice: marbled ornaments, Christmas socks, chocolate orange, a cosmetic box bag filled with a sugar cookie bath salt fizz mix and lip balm, and a DIY Christmas themed in-the-hoop project

Naughty: a doughnut ornament, a skull themed notebook, an "Eat, Drink, & Be Merry" kitchen towel, a pencil case filled with skull soaps, and a sugar skull pillow slipcover.

I'm glad you liked everything Stacysews. You did find the soaps in there didn't you? Just making sure.

Let me go back and see.... although that may have been an item that my daughter confiscated.... she insisted on opening everything with me!  Grin

I received my package from Momof2! a few days ago - it took me so long to get photos up because at the same time my mom found out that she has.... shingles! I swear someone always has something around the holidays!  Anyway, here is my loot:

A fun, zombie stocking for my son! He has one that he received when he was a baby, but it's definitely babyish so it was time for a new one. He loves it!

For the stuffers there was an AWESOME Harry Potter wand pen! I wish I could have captured how fantastic it is... even my daughter fell in love with it and she's not even a HP fan! There was also an adorable HP mug for my morning coffee that I can use with my button\sewing themed tile coasters. There was also some wonderful blueberry jam, large magnets (perfect for my idea board that I keep in my room), chapsticks (which the children have also divided up amongst themselves), a soy candle, holiday socks, a tissue holder (also taken by my oldest to school), a skully pendent, and binder clips!

Thanks so much for a fun package!

Everything has been so awesome so far! I adore that gourd birdhouse and that nutcracker is AWESOME!

I got a huge box of goodies from Stacysews Saturday! Now I have mega swap anxiety. I have my box all packed and ready to go out on my lunch break today.

Some of it is wrapping\packaging.... although after I figured out a 'theme', I did go a little crazy with crafting.  Grin

Awww, those spoons are awesome and I love the mug rug too! I saw a tutorial for the ornament balls and put that on my pinterest to try some time, were they hard to make?

I was going to mail out today before it started snowing (sleeting?), but decided that since my partner isn't going to open until Christmas and because not everything fits into the stocking, that I would make a Christmas sack to put the rest of the stuffers into! Alright, NOW I'm done!   Grin

I started wrapping everything up today and once again.... not everything will fit into the stocking! I'm planning on sending out late this week - once I find a box to fit it all into. I figure if I don't the package will continue to grow because I keep coming up with a few more ideas every day.  Grin

Oh my you folks have will power! I hope my partner doesn't mind, but I usually rip into my package it as soon as it arrives... I try to do it in secret, but somehow my children are attracted to the sound of ripping paper and start foraging though my goodies.  Grin

I'm getting closer to being finished! I did have a craft fail last night (I blame Martha Stewart) and had to rework it some.....
