21  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Speedball kit reviews: What do I want? on: June 20, 2007 02:05:10 PM
The screen that comes in the kits is really bad quality. For a little more you can buy a screen that will be a lot happier with.

If you buy "cheap" printing materials you're more than likely going to get what you paid for.

If you want to try it more than a couple times you should invest in the materials. they go a long way if you take proper care of them

Interesting. Is it thick chunk cork, or a thin sheet?

I think it's an 1/4"
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: dino-riffic mary janes on: June 13, 2007 09:24:29 AM
Those are very cute. I have some maryjanes I've been wanting to to do this too. Was it really hard?

It was kind of hard the first time since you can't really see the inside. After a while you get the hang of it but it's still hard towards the toe area since its so cramped

I sometimes get a little home sick and miss living in Texas. I silkscreened this armadillo onto some fabric and I realized it was the perfect size to make a tote.

It's very roomy and I feel like I can fit my entire apartment in it.
Here it is..

talihina_sky: yes thats my puppy. he is a year old now and not as cute hehe

I've also screened this on fabric and decided to frame it like a painting. Sorry I don't know how to post from flickr.
