11  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Need Items for Detroit Children's Hospital on: June 09, 2008 08:12:15 PM
I'm willing to make more of my little dinos for the kids.
They look like this. http://flickr.com/photos/narchi/1051708903/in/set-72157601773014842/

I've made them in the past for children in chemo to have something to hold and I'd love to do it again.
Send me more info please!

did you use the ink blockers? sometimes i used them even if it's a one color print. it keeps the ink from going all over the screen and therefore wasted.
just be sure to check every couple of prints to make sure that there is still enough ink.
what fabric did you use? felt?

you can buy the speedball kits at craft stores but I don't recommend the screen that they come with.

If you want something bigger I think you'll have to do traditional screenprinting

I've printed on stretchy fabrics before. i.e. cycling jerseys

You'll need a piece of chipboard larger than the size of the image you want to print. Spray a light layer of spray adhesive on the chipboard and place material on it smoothly. Then you can print.

Don't use a piece of cardboard because the ripples of the corrugation will show up in your image
