11  COOKING / Dessert / Big Frog Cake on: April 19, 2008 07:38:31 AM
My son turned 3 on monday.  He's really into WordWorld and said he wanted a frog cake. this is what i came up with.

It's chocolate cake on the inside and M&Ms for most of the spots.
12  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / vegbee peasant top in parasols on: April 19, 2008 07:23:44 AM
This is so easy to make- I made a ton of them. The only thing I changed was the elastic in the sleeves, it seemed like it was so tight on her little fat arms that I just left it out altogether.

I made more but this was the best picture and she wasn'g going to let me keep changing her shirt.
I love this fabric!
13  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / valentine's day cards on: February 02, 2008 06:22:29 AM
this my first ever post on craftster, although I've been hanging out for a while.  i felt like it was time to share since I've been so inspired by everyone else.
so- i had all this purple cardstock and picked up a pack of valentine's themed scrap book paper at target for $1-throw in some  quotes printed off of the computer and voila! homemade valentines goodness for my friends and family.  i really like how they turned out .

the inside:

some of my favorites- this one the my absolute favorite it came out exactly like i saw it in my head- and that rarely happens!

this one is for my mom- it had to be tactile b/c she's blind, but she also spins so i knew right away i was going to make her a sheep.  can you tell it has a heart body?

a few more of my favs...

14  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / darning foot on: January 11, 2008 02:05:36 PM
i bought this quilting kit for my machine and it came with a darning foot- at least that's what it called it.  it says to drop the feed dogs and go but i can't make it work and the backside of it looks awful.  i suspect i can fix the bobbin issue by monkying with the tension...but is it for quilting? and if so how do i use it?
15  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / avocado stone on: March 31, 2006 12:47:09 PM
maybe this the worng thread- but it's sort of recycling...how do i gorw a plant from an avocaod pit? i have tow in some baby food jars with toothpicks sticking out of them-based on what i've read that should do it- but nothing is happening and there's white fuzzy mold on one of them. suggestions? hints? help?
