171  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / avocado stone on: March 31, 2006 12:47:09 PM
maybe this the worng thread- but it's sort of recycling...how do i gorw a plant from an avocaod pit? i have tow in some baby food jars with toothpicks sticking out of them-based on what i've read that should do it- but nothing is happening and there's white fuzzy mold on one of them. suggestions? hints? help?

in 5th grade we all had to bring one of those trays in for art class to make block prints.  i can't remember too clearly but we sort of carved a picture into the tray w/ a dull pencil, rolled paint over the design and pressed in onto a piece of paper.  i've been saving mine (as well as those styrofoam bins mushrooms come in) planning to make something lke that.  I"ve been using them as paint trays too for potato stamps.
