11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My Durango Hat on: February 10, 2008 04:01:48 PM
So I was surfing ravelry (like I do everyday), and I came upon the Durango Hat pattern. It looked really cute and I figure I cant get enough hats, so I made it. Took me about 4 hours to make. Very quick crochet pattern.

Here it is:

Sorry for the crappy picture, but thats what happens when you want to take one and no one is around to help you (and you dont know how to work the timer haha).

13  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / DORMANT: Candy Apple Shrug (with pattern link) on: October 05, 2007 05:18:59 PM
Hi Everyone!

I have been lurking the crochet boards for a long time and I am an aspiring crocheter!

I've never started or taken part in a CAL before (but have wanted to join many many times! but lacked the skill)

I was wondering if anyone would like to do this project with me?

Here is the link to the free patter on Lion Brand:

I am doing mine in Red Heart Super Saver color: Artist Print

I hope to see some of your projects posted soon  Grin
14  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Inspired! on: September 04, 2007 06:23:44 PM
Hi everyone!
You are all so talented with your needleworking!! Its very very inspiring.
I was just wondering if there is a program or any tips anyone could give me on taking a picture and embroidering it onto a tshirt or something like that.
I have never done this before. I know im skipping all of the "beginner" steps.
I have done cross stitching before but love the embroidery work I have seen here.
I have tonnes of floss from my younger years when I made countless friendship bracelets.

Basically, i want to take an anime picture and embroider it onto a tshirt for my best friend for Christmas. (Giving myself a big headstart) Do I need to back it with something or can you just embroider away?

Any tips would be very much appreciated!!!

YOU GUYS ROCK!  Grin
15  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My Take on the Hobo Mitts on: November 14, 2006 07:57:18 AM
After seeing the post by umbrellamaker and seeing her tutorial ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=73781.0 ) I thought I'd give it a try since one of my friends asked me to make her a hat, mitten, and scarf set.
Here are the pictures:

I found that the top mitten part was a little big, so I folded it a bit and sealed it up with some fancy buttons. I really like the way they turned out!

Thank you umbrellamaker for your tutorial!

***UPDATE***: She loves them!! I'll try to get a picture of her in the whole set

17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Red Velvet on: October 17, 2006 05:55:49 PM
This is a stunning addition to an evening wear outfit. Perfect colour for the holidays. Althought im sure it would look just as good in other colours. Freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and gold accents. This was hard to part with but I do hope to be making more.

19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Tigerseye, White shell and black glass on: August 14, 2006 10:07:19 AM
Here is a bracelet I just finished like 5 minutes ago.
It is made of tigerseye stone chips, oval white shell beads and faceted black glass beads. It also has black seed beads on the ends and a nice toggle clasp.

Hi everyone! This is my second post of something I've made. This necklace is made out of Jade and a semi-precious stone that I cant seem to identify. The toggle clasp has black swarovski crystals imbedded in it.
If you can identify this stone please help me!
