1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Questions About Hairstyles! on: April 20, 2011 01:54:04 PM
First of all, let me say you are all so inspiring!!

I was hoping I could get some advice!

I wanted to change my hair a bit (and it really needs to be dyed! roots are almost 6"!)

I want to keep it mostly blonde but wanted to add some sort of highlights or something.
I am going to keep it long and will likely do something with brown as opposed to red (since I am always bad with the upkeep!)

Thats me about a month ago! Any suggestions?

I was thinking of going with this haircut but don't want to do the red (for reasons mentioned above):

I have a "corporate" job so I can't get too crazy.

Any suggestions are welcome!

I NEED YOUR HELP!!!

Thanks so much you lovely craftsters!

All I can say is WOW!!! There are a HUGE bunch of talented people on this thread!

I just found this. Just got back into cross stitch after a few years off.

Thought this might give me the motivation I need to continue working on the project I just started and get it finished so I can start another!

Only have about 3 hours work so not really worth posting work photo yet but I am working on Jewels of the Orient. I hope to work on all the Geishas in the Gold Collection! They are all so beautiful!

Picture for reference:

I love your version!
Michael Kors is my FAVORITE designer, and I had no idea about the patterns for Vogue!
Thanks to you, I can make one myself! I ordered it yesterday (they were on sale too!) I'm glad I saw yours though, because the fabric they used on the cover of the pattern does NOT do the dress justice!
I can't wait to get this pattern so I can make the dress. Hopefully it will turn out as well as yours!
Your's is GORGEOUS and you look great in it!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: Buying a strand vs buying a few on: November 09, 2009 11:46:04 AM
Well, to me, it depends on whether you are trying to save money or not.
Theres a big difference between $15 and $60.....

I would suggest finding a supplier for that mesh (I know I have seen it sold in different places) and spray paint your own design and attached a chain.
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Looking for Tahitian Pearls on: November 03, 2009 11:33:59 AM
Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone know of a good source for reasonably priced loose Tahitian Pearls?

I know the already made jewelry is WAY expensive and my MIL wants the look without the cost. She doesn't want to spend that kind of money on jewelry any more and was hoping that I could make something for her.

I appreciate your help!

Thanks,

Nikki
9  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / 18th Century Duchess on: November 03, 2009 10:04:05 AM
Hello Everyone!

I am really excited about this costume. Of course I made it and of course no one believed me.
It took me about 3 nights and one full day from start to finish. I also made my necklace.
I wish there was a better picture of my hair but it was really pretty and big and curly.

I won 1st place in our costume contest at work!

Without further adieu, here are the pics Smiley

Comments and Crits totally welcome!
