I made these for my bathroom.  I found old dress pattern covers online, peinted them and then cut out the silhouettes in card stock.  I put them on a brown and pink background as art for my neopolitan bathroom.

I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum but I had to share the bathroom door my mom made out of old bottle labels and bottlecap jewelry and resin.

I think the making of the door only took two days, the langthy part was getting all the labels and stuff.

So, I made the bag this weekend, it was pretty easy, in a peacock blue wool I had hanging around.  I put the orchid on because I am so sick of winter I just want a little touch of the tropics




My little camera phone does not do justice to the vibrancy of the color, nonetheless I love the bag.

Heres a beanie pattern I made up a few days ago.  I like it, it is a simple beanies that is very comfy

On 8 16" circs using worsted weight yarn
CO 84 sts (I used the cable method, it makes the bottom all even and pretty)
K2 P2 and join the round
Continue K2 P2 up for about 8.5 inches

Decreasing
R1 *K2tog, P2 repeat from * until the end of the round
R2 *K1, P2tog repeat from * until the end of the round
R3 K2 tog the rest of the stitches
BO the remaining 20 or so stiches and leave a tail about 10 inches long. Fold the opening in half and use the tail to sew up the opening.

At any rate, I made this hat yesterday and was very excited about how it turned out so I thought I'd share.  I know getting a good cloche shape can be hard.

I am probably butchering the spelling, at any rate I got macrame yarn from the thrift store a while ago and I'm not sure what to do with it.  It's pretty thick and stiff but I like the color, it's a light sage green.  I tried knitting with it and it doesn't work that well.  Crocheting seems to work better but I'm still not sure what to make out of it.  Dishcloths? a hat? a purse?  any suggestions would be helpful

Inspiration hit the other day since it's over 100 degrees out and I made a tank top out of fabric I inherited from my mom.  I used the Simplicity pattern 4317 and altered it slightly so it has a sash that ties in the back instead of a zipper.  I love it! I'm wearing it right now.  I have the same fabric in blue to make another

I have a bunch of empty wine bottles of varying wines hanging around the house and was wondering if anyone has ever tried to make them into liqud soap dispensers?  The idea amuses me but I'm not sure how to go about doing it.  Any ideas/tips/suggestions are greatly appreciated

This is a quilt I made for my sister for her college graduation.  She loves butterflies and the color blue so that was the inspiration for the quilt.  Of course as all projects go everyhting that could go wrong did, I kept running out of fabric, the measurements were off, etc.  It was hand quilted and I used tension rods to hang the quilt to quilt it.  Nonetheless, enjoy!
