After five or so attempts at making this, I finally succeeded. It's rated as a "beginner" pattern, but I really had a lot of trouble working with Fun Fur yarn. Finally, out of determination to prove to myself I could do this, since it appears to be in the "by kids for kids" list of patterns on
Lion Brand Yarn's web site, I decided to go with the next larger size hook, and it worked beautifully. I wanted to make these for Easter, and now I know I can. Woo hoo! There's a rabbit pattern as well that I'll make when I get some white Fun Fur this weekend. I did the crocheting on this last night, then this morning finished the sewing, stuffing, and adding body parts.
I think it turned out really cute. Even my significant other was impressed. *s*


(Yes, I made the doily underneath him, too. *beams with pride* Not bad considering I've only been crocheting for a couple of months.)
