1  Cupcake Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by misi23 on: September 02, 2009 09:24:31 AM
My SIL needed help with an apron for a job application (she is trying to get a job at her college's costume department as the assitant). Well, she has never actually sewn before but has mad design skills so we coupled our brain power and created an awesome apron! She drew the sketch (wish I had a copy of it...) and bought the fabric then came over to my place to figure out the rest. We didn't use a pattern or anything. We measured her and cut fabric based off of that. It took a LONG time to do, as it was her first project but it came out awesome. Enjoy!

And after 7 hours of this project, this pic sums up how both of us felt!!

So I sat down with some fabric and scissors and let my brain work out the rest... Here is the purse I came up with. Its lined in hot pink too but I didn't take a pic of that.

3  Red or White? Wine glass oil painting in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by misi23 on: October 17, 2008 12:51:57 PM
Made this painting for my BFF's sister for her upcoming wedding present. Still have a few tweaks to make but I'm pretty pleased with it. Hopefully I don't like it on my wall TOO much, or it may stay in my living room! haha

4  Back to my portraits.... in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by misi23 on: August 26, 2008 08:31:24 AM
So I've gotten away from portrait drawing lately. Was dabbling in oil paints but its just so loose for me. So I was inspired last night to return to my first love. Here are the results. As always, the picture doesn't show all the shading correctly but its close enough I suppose!

5  Re: *pointy kitty* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by misi23 on: March 27, 2006 09:18:46 AM
Here's mine. I actually made 3 this weekend but my neices grabbed 2 of them before I got a pic.... Kids! This one is actually for a girl at work.... Its not easy getting those little legs and tail turned and stuffed! And its a little top heavy.... I was thinking of stuffing the points with cat nip and making one for my kitten.... She may destroy it if I do though! Undecided
