1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re:Felted Wool Bag on: January 25, 2004 08:55:57 PM
That's really cute.  If you want to make something like that from scratch, could you just knit a big rectangle and sew the seams, then felt?  I don't know too many knitting skills, so i was wondering if this simple approach would work.

I found some good, cheap D-rings in the craft section of Walmart, along with some pretty cool ribbon.

I'm making a lot of basic jewelry- ribbon and elastic with beads.  I have a million ideas, but I'm not sure how they are going to be received.  This will be for high school students

zipper head band
marble magnets
picture frames
guitar pick earrings
scented eye pillows
crayons- in cool shapes
soap with a cool sponge
personalized mirrors

I like those ideas, but I'm hung up on a few things:

1.)I have a few guy friends, and I have no idea what to make them.
2.)Do you think that making someone a purse is a little much?  I don't expect to be getting anything back from a whole lot of these people.
