1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Some More Purses I Have Done! on: January 18, 2010 09:11:29 AM
*****Update******

If you are going to use black & white photos, don't use craft glue. For some reason it turns the photos a purplish color.  Huh I use spray adhesive instead.

Also, I hated how they looked on the inside, so I and started gluing felt sheets on the inside. It makes it look so much better!

Shocked OMG! I LOVE the Twilight one! GREAT job! Can you let me know how well they are holding together? I'd like to make one for myself. Also if you could let me know how you did these in more detail! Thanks much!

I have been using them for months now and haven't had any problems. I don't take them out when it's raining, though! But they hold my wallet, cell phone and other junk quite nicely. The paint helps strengthen the bottom of the box.

They are very easy to make. I take a cereal box, one of the huge family size ones and just paint the sides and bottom. Then I glue the photo paper, using craft glue, onto the sides of the box. I just recently started adding snaps to the inside to close them, instead of using velcro squares. The hardest part is finding the perfect photo to use!

I hoped this explained it a little better.
