83  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / diaper cake basket (pic heavy) on: May 05, 2006 03:58:25 PM
well I saw some posts on diaper cakes and have been dying to make one. After my cousin invited my mom and me to her baby shower I seized the opportunity to create one. only one problem, after making the cake I realized I had about 30 extra swaddlers and I couldn't just throw them away, or make another cake. so after a couple hours of browsing walmart for ideas I got a basket.
When I got home I layered the inside of the basket with some old pink and white streamers.
Then after rolling up about 20 of the diapers and tying them with ribbon I used them as kinda a foundation for the cake so the cake wouldn't sit so low in the basket. then I put the rest of the rolled up diapers around the cake and layed a little pink shirt on top of them. after adding some pink lining to the basket, a few flowers and a name tag I got this

special moments cake topper

84  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / backroom is now craft room (warning pic heavy) on: April 21, 2006 07:29:19 PM
The backroom as my family calls it has been organized a few times, but often neglected and used for nothing more than storage. I love crafts but I have never been able to find any things worth making, since I have found this site I have created a long list of things to create but no where to create them. solution, revamp the backroom so I am not clogging up the kitchen table all day. because afterall who wants noodles in their paint?

85  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / fish decor on: April 21, 2006 06:30:37 PM
I like natural looking fish decorations but I dont want to pay $30 for something someone picked up off the beach. so I made my own little rock caves for my fishies using many rocks and aquarium sealent (make sure it dries for 48hrs before adding it to your tank.)

86  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / yugioh card folder on: April 21, 2006 06:24:12 PM
a couple christmas's ago I made my brother a folder for his ever expanding collection of yugioh cards. I painted the main character yugioh and his favorite character joey (think thats his name) and put a bunch of plastic card holders in it. I used normal paint, since then his name has faded abit. since I didn't want to draw on it and mess up the lines I printed out the characters pictures taped them to the folder and poked dots along the lines, lifting up occasionaly to connect the dots so I wouldn't confuse the lines.

87  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / glass half marbles and crystal pieces on: March 21, 2006 09:27:42 PM
I got a tupperware container full of marble halfs, blue, and salmon colored marbles, and some plastic gems like thesehttp://www.petalia.com.au/Images/Products/Images_PGL/fishcs1.jpg except they are about 1.5inches wide and are a transparent blue. I only have about 2 handfulls the marbles and gems, and about 4 handfuls of half marbles.

I know these have a great use but I just can't think of any.
