if you have a betta in a tank with a filter and such they will live a good long time. mine is about 4 and a half years old now

petco, it's pretty cheap, I bought a tube for about $6 and so far I have sealed a ten gal, made three rock caves, and glued a few plastic plants to some rocks to keep them from floating away and I have about 1/3 of the tube left
699  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / backroom is now craft room (warning pic heavy) on: April 21, 2006 07:29:19 PM
The backroom as my family calls it has been organized a few times, but often neglected and used for nothing more than storage. I love crafts but I have never been able to find any things worth making, since I have found this site I have created a long list of things to create but no where to create them. solution, revamp the backroom so I am not clogging up the kitchen table all day. because afterall who wants noodles in their paint?

Before

After (this took a few days since I had to stop for a few hours inbetween to recover from all the dust)

I like natural looking fish decorations but I dont want to pay $30 for something someone picked up off the beach. so I made my own little rock caves for my fishies using many rocks and aquarium sealent (make sure it dries for 48hrs before adding it to your tank.)
