191  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Striped T-shirt Yarn Rug on: November 19, 2009 05:39:29 PM

Here's a rug made of recycled T-shirt yarn.  All the rows are worked from right to left, no turning at the end of the row. The long tails are tied to form the fringe.
192  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Crocheted Kitten on: November 19, 2009 02:51:35 PM

Here's the crocheted kitten I made from this pattern

and some 25 cent yarn from the thrift store.
193  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Quilt block identification, help please. on: September 10, 2009 07:24:07 PM
Nice find!  This appears to be "Rocky Road to Kansas" string pieced stars.  The stars are joined with large diamond shapes between them, usually in a solid, neutral color.  Good call by the previous poster.  Bonnie has a picture at Quiltville.

Good luck and happy sewing!
194  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Re: more animals in my garden... now it's fishes in a fake mini-pond! on: August 05, 2009 05:28:52 PM
I like it!  Wonder if you'll attract hungry herons...  <S>
195  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: my blanket...first ever completed on: August 05, 2009 04:38:06 AM
Congratulations!  That was a big project to finish.  I think your black stitches add a lot to your blanket.  What are you going to make next?
196  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Fuzzy Monster Blankey-- lots of pics! on: August 04, 2009 04:48:56 PM
Your fuzzy monster is beautiful!  I learned this technique recently and enjoyed it so much.  Did you buy the special big hook with the "tail" on it?  I'm trying to come up with a way to convert my S hook.  Plans for another?
197  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: multi-strand yarn ideas on: August 02, 2009 04:56:13 AM
I think this would be a great project to use your new yarns, unless you live in the jungle or the desert...

198  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: House on the Hill on: June 17, 2009 04:22:30 AM
Love this little quilt.  It has a happy energy with all those great colors and prints.  I agree, Gwen Marston's Liberated Quilting book changed my quilting, if not my life.  Happy sewing!

If this is not the same pattern, it's pretty darn close!

200  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Mini Photo Contest! on: August 13, 2008 04:21:15 AM
Well, I don't really believe in competition.  I think everyone is a winner, in their own way.

However...  I love the image "D".  Asymmetric, yet balanced.  It's my favorite.
