2  Punk Rock Backpack in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by grrl13 on: February 18, 2004 02:13:48 PM
here's my monkey.... intarsia was a challenge for me.... i didn't use a different ball of yarn for each color break, so it was all disconnected...but I just crocheted it all back together when i finished the monkey intarsia part. I fudged it, but it's all good in the end. Mine looks a little eddie munster-ish to me, but i luv it.

3  oragami mobile in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by grrl13 on: February 18, 2004 02:10:10 PM
Here is a mobile i just finished. I used some dowels, fishing line, epoxy, and oragami i folded. I cut the dowels and layed the design out on the floor. Then i began the assembling from the bottom working my way up to the top. Once I had it all put together and balanced the way i wanted, i used a toothpick to place drops of epoxy over where the string ties around the dowel, to hold it in place and to keep the string from sliding up and down the dowel.

4  Re:stitch and bitch cape mod in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by grrl13 on: February 17, 2004 01:59:24 PM
here's my cape mod. I made the smallest size, and found it a bit short for me, so I'll be forever blocking.

I used Lion brand thick and quick wool ease  for the MC, and I used a combo of  2 strands of Funny by Pelgarn in hot pink with 1 strand of Bernat eyelash from walmart together for the contrast. It gave a nice texture combined.  I used 3 skeins of the MC, and 3 balls of the CC (with a lot of the Funny left over to add to this scarf too.

here's my kittyville hat (just finished) and my wristband. The hat was a really quick project, even for my beginner skills. I used cheapo yarn from walmart. the huge 170g supersaver by red heart in heather gray. I could probably make 3 more with the left over. Oh, and for the cheapo yarn....it's not itchy on my head, believe it or not.  Cheesy
