1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Perler bead earphones (tutorial - img heavy) on: May 28, 2013 04:25:56 AM

I was roaming through Pinterest the other day when I found a colorful image of pimped earbuds that took me to this blog. And... I wanted them! I guess I'm a sucker for colorful things Grin

I have this buckets of perler beads I bought at Ikea some time ago, so everything was perfect to start the project. It's really easy! Mainly, I followed the instructions in the blog but using one more tool: a pair of tweezers.

First, take a perler bead and cut a slit in it. If you use tweezers, your fingers will be thankful.

Then, open the bead enough to push your earphone's cord inside. For this step I used tweezers again. The tutorial on the blog said to open the bead with your fingernail, but I found it really difficult! So, tweezers it is.

And that's it! Continue until all your cord is covered  Cheesy
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My Travel Journal on: March 04, 2012 08:10:07 AM
Hi everyone!
I'm really excited because next week I'm going to travel to London for the first time (any recommendations about interesting and/or crafty places to visit?). As I've been a journaler for awhile, I needed the perfect notebook to record this experience. I was thinking about it when I saw this post about making an accordion organizer (thanks a lot for the tutorial, Meilris) and the inspiration came.

It has a notebook part and an organizer part so I can write, stick and keep safe everything I want.

And, as my favorite color is green, it has a green checkered cover  Cheesy

I can't wait to start using it!
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Kusudama on: June 11, 2010 01:53:06 PM

I discovered kusudama flowers a couple of days ago and I could't resist making a ball.

I used this tutorial: Part 1 and Part 2.

I think kusudama balls are really pretty, even if they take lots of time to be made. The paper I used is a little too heavy for origami, but it makes the ball tough and... well, I didn't have any other colorful paper  Wink

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Honey x-stitch journal on: July 29, 2008 09:56:03 AM
I finished this cross stitched image of Honey-senpai last week and I was wondering what to do with it. I finally decided to do a journal and here it is, my own Ouran journal ^^

7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / My crafty box on: July 16, 2007 07:24:42 AM
This is the box where I keep some of my craft supplies. It was a plain wood box 'till yesterday (sorry, no "before" pics) but I decided it was too boring. So here it is, painted and stenciled.

The side:

Detail of the stencil:

The colour is not that sort of orange shown in the photos but a bright red.
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Japanese doll clothes (haori and hakama) on: July 14, 2007 01:34:40 PM

Little Japanese clothes for my sister's doll. She wanted her doll to dress as a Japanese warrior, so...

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / New wallet on: July 13, 2007 11:57:13 AM
I made this wallet out of a poster with lots of little photographs my mother gave to me. I can't remember now what did the poster advertise.

Sorry about the blurry-ness.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Black t-shirt to gryffindor robe on: July 13, 2007 11:26:56 AM
I made this gryffindor robe for my sister using two men size black t-shirts. I took the idea from a girl in the livejournal community t-shirtsurgery, who used a hogwarts polo to make the robe.

Here is my little sis' wearing her gryffindor robe:

The back:

And wearing the hood:

It can't be seen in the photographs, but the golden buttons in the front and back have an embossed lion.
