21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: RAWR! Fuzzy monster brooch! on: June 03, 2006 10:47:53 AM
That's the most adorable monster I've ever seen!  I can't believe it's such a quick project!
22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Fun with wire and a few beads (img heavy) on: June 03, 2006 12:56:44 AM
Last night a made a ton of jewelry for my friends, and today my fingers were itching to make some more.  I've gotten into playing with wire lately, but since soldering is out of the question (I have no space in my apartment to do it safely), I can't do a whole lot except bend, twist, and hammer.

Here are a few of the things I made.  Updated with better pictures.

This pair of earrings is made from plain copper wire.  The bundles near the clip-on findings are just wires wrapped around.

This one is made with good ol' 20 gauge craft wire.  I have an obsession with leaves lately.

Some other stuff that came out matchy, though not intentionally

...and my last piece for the night....

The beads are actually not the same.  The one on the shorter ribbon is cherry quartz, but the one on the longer ribbon is an opaque red-orange bead.

They're beautiful!  I especially love the necklaces!

Hmm...the jewelry roll idea never crossed my mind. That'll save me a lot of space.  Thanks!

Both of the options you posted are really cool!  Thanks a bunch!

Actually, I think that would work just fine!  Maybe I should have done a better job with the search, but the ones I saw were mesh and it just seemed difficult to get the clip in between the wires.  Thanks!

Love the floppy, love the pulleys, and love the springs!  Boing!

I'm fairly new at jewelry-making (got serious about it around February) and this site offers great inspiration.  I've been churning out clip-on earrings like crazy, but all of the cool earring storage methods are for wired earrings.  Here's what I've got so far:

As you can see, I'm running out of space.  Any ideas on how I can make a bigger and better one?  Thanks!
