1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Apple applique onesie - first applique project on: October 14, 2011 02:07:53 PM
I put this design on a onesie for my new nephew, because when my sister-in-law was pregnant, my 2-year-old niece always pointed at her stomach and said "apple."

The onesie was hard as hell to get into the embroidery frame!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas crafts for kids??? on: December 07, 2007 09:36:59 AM
Hey, everybody. I have a little sister w/Big Brothers Big Sisters, and I'm trying to think of a Christmas craft for us to do together this weekend. She's 12 years old and catches on to things pretty quickly, but has ADD, so it can't be a really long project.

I was thinking that some sort of ornament or decoration would be good, but I was hoping you all could give me some good ideas.

Thanks!!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Where can I buy brightly colored zippers? on: April 13, 2007 11:33:51 AM
I just made a bright turquoise dress, and had to settle for a lt. blue zipper, because I couldn't find any stores that carry brightly colored zippers. I live in Salt Lake City, which I thought would be a sewing mecca because of all the Mormon housewives, but I went to 5 different fabric stores, only to find the same zippers in every store. Does anyone know of a good Web site, or a store in Utah where I could find brightly colored zippers?
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby ear-flap hat on: January 31, 2007 11:32:47 AM
I decided to come out of lurk-dom to post this baby hat that I made for my boyfriend's co-worker.

It was a little big on him at first, but he's grown into it.
