The colors are not as saturated in real life..actually in real life they are quite pastel.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / To swim or not to swim? on: May 30, 2006 11:27:54 PM
My second shirt...
I used an old simplicity pattern #6462
I found some awesome bathing suit material in my mom's stash
the pattern called for a stretchy knit ...but this worked out...so I was thinking...maybe I could wear this as a bathing suit top?

excuse the dirty mirror...so tacky

Thanks for all the awesome comments you guys!  I think i need to solve the 'bust is not lined' problem so that i can use it as a tankini...until then i can wear it as a shirt haha
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / my powder blue shirt for working in a hot place on: May 19, 2006 02:27:25 AM
ok so i have made this shirt in an attempt to create something airy to wear to work.  i work in a tile studio in south texas and there is not any air conditioning! it gets super super hot! i thought hey maybe i can make a breathable shirt because truthfully some tank tops and tshirts can smother almost to the point of heat stroke.

anyway babbling
i used simplicity pattern 4123 (next time i have to go a size smaller i think-there is a bunch of room under the arms?!?
*im trying to pose like the girl on the pattern...uh but forgot to have that carefree smile...oh yes and ignore the circles under the eyes

should i paint something on this shirt? seems a little plain but i dunno...

6  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 11 ENTRIES / This psychedelic high heel was made for walkin'... on: May 01, 2006 05:17:22 PM
hello
i found this pooh painting at goodwill for $2.99.  measures approx. 16"x16". The piece came with a frame attached to it already.
the entire thing was a little beat up.

my first job was to remove the slick paint that outlined pooh and his balloon. then i turned the painting upside down and got to work.

if you look closely you can still see part of pooh and his balloon inside the groovy design.
i had to leave at least part of him there(my guilty conscience would not let me completely cover the piece).
i also repainted the frame a powder blue like the original background color.
i hope everyone likes!!!
this is fun fun fun
