4  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 25 ENTRIES / Get a HEART on! on: March 04, 2008 04:08:41 PM
OK so-
Town I currently reside: Richmond, VA
Thought process for the project: Virginia is for lovers.....Richmond is the capitol of Virginia....so therefore Richmond should be the capitol of lovers. And as the capitol of lovers we should spread the love. So I created 4 postcards with corresponding accessories to send some love to friends around the world. And being the dirty south and all, I titled the collection...Get a HEART on! Classy, classy I know!

I plan on making more, these were super fun!! And an awesome way to spread some love around.

Without farther ado..
POSTCARD 1: I hearrrrrrrrt you! (with felt pirate barrette) YAY!

The whole SHEBANG!!!

Hope you enjoyed!!!
HEARTS!

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Current work in progress. on: June 21, 2007 07:38:25 PM
I always have a couple different things that I am working on at the same time. These are a couple of pieces I currently have going on.
Would love some feedback!
Not really sure I like the direction of a couple of them.

Inspired by laying in the grass during the summer time, planning on laying in some green background with chalk pastels. Still alot of work to do with the hair.

I call this a glorified Peep! Still needs more detail I think.

Not sure where this is going at all.

THANKS FOR LOOKING!
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Glorified doodle on: June 02, 2007 05:06:07 PM
I keep discovering new ways of working and styles I like to use, in completely random ways. Would really love to push this further.

It's india ink, markers and pen. And it's about 24" x 36".

*Sorry still not up to 10 posts.* Slowly but surely working on it. : )
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Sweet collage action! on: June 01, 2007 02:02:36 PM
I did this as an example for an art unit plan I wrote for high schoolers about the Dada movement.

Really excited about the way it turned out. And hope to work this way a lot more in the future.

Would love to know what you guys thing about it.

*Sorry about the crappy photo quality, and that you must link to it. Not enough posts yet. : (*

9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Rupunzel. on: May 30, 2007 10:03:56 AM
I did this after looking at my figure drawing sketches for inspiration.
My fave thing I've done to date. Love to know what others think, I work in this style often.

It's pastel, ink and guache on paper. It's about 12" x 36".
Can't post pictures yet. Not a frequent poster. However, please check out the links.
