1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / !!!!!Sewing machine help!!!!!!! on: September 24, 2008 07:57:07 AM
Hi everyone,

I am having a major problem with me pfaff 1211 machine, i was sewing this weekend and i went over a zipper and broke my needle and stalled my machine, I replaced my needle and now my machine wont sew. When i manually turn the wheel i can feel a rubbing somewhere and if i try to sew the top tread lets go and doesn't 'grab' on to the bobbin thread???

Any info would be so appreciated!!!!

thanks fellow crafsters

I made it for a work display (i work at fabricland) so it will hang up in the store for a month and then i get it back!

i would love to hear any feedback, and critics welcome too

thanks for looking!
3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Vinyl Disaster!!! on: July 23, 2007 09:01:54 PM
HELP!! I have just made the cutest purse with navy blue vinyl and white cut out stars on the side. I have used large grommets and swivel  hooks to attach the handles which WERE supposed to be made with 1" strips of the white vinyl - but sewing them together has posed quite a problem!!! how do you do it?

each time i try to sew along each side (leaving the cut edge exposed) everything gets all wonkey - it bunches, twists, and it's ugly!! I have adjusted the tension millions of times and the stitches are at the longest and widest Length.

if anyone can help me i would love them until the end of time!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Where to buy custom labels in Toronto on: January 19, 2007 07:43:27 PM
Hi everyone, I live in Toronto, Ontairo and I am trying to find a place to buy custom labels to sew in to purses? I would rather go into a store to buy them as opposed to buying them on line just so I can get a good look at them.

If anyone can help me I would love them forever!

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Anyone ever heard of Timtex? on: November 17, 2006 11:37:17 PM
Hi there, I was just wondering of any one has heard of or has used timtex? I've noticed that it is rather expensive! Does anyone know of any other heavy weight interfacing that would be good for purses - just to help keep there shape, and so they don't just look this sacks of saggy material?Huh Sad

Thank in advance to anyone with advice!!

I first of all have to say this is the best part of the forum! I am trying to think of something to make my mother for Christmas - she is a very experienced quilter and I am a pretty good sewer (if that is even a word??) I have bought her books and fat quarters in the past but I want to make her something this year?

If anyone has any suggestions that would save my Christmas! Smiley
