i usually frequent the "bag" thing but she makes those and has some pretty cool ones.
this probably helps... i sew and crochet very poorly and can't knit. i can glue things and cut things out.. i can draw... uhh..... yep.


she's pretty unique and likes unique girly things....and hello kitty... well.. sanrio stuff in general.
i've thought about recepie cards and a plushie?
ugh. i dont know.



HELP!

so i actually made a different laptop bag before this one... padded and everything. got to the end (just needed to sew zipper, lining and strap on) and decided that i hated how it looked....... i still hate how it looks. i had an image in my head and it just didn't turn out as sweet as i wanted.....

so i scrapped the whole thing and made a totally different one.
this was my first time sewing with vinyl and i LOVE how it looks but i don't love how it sews.......... despite that, i think i'll still use it in the future.
i actually plan on making a little bag to go inside of it for my mouse and all those extra little annoyances. i also LOVE the fact that it's waterproof.... NE Ohio?? yeah..... lots of precipitation... cruddy days.... we're used to that.

here's the down part... i don't think that i will have room for a sleeve.... as of right now it's not a padded bag. i was just going to make a big bag and make a sleeve for my computer to sit in. it's pretty tight getting it in.....    
i may just take the zipper out..... suggestions welcome.

we're both in interior design so we usually don't have any time to craft which is sad.
but we love it when we find the tiniest bit of time to do so.

how do i get the thread to strech a little with the fabric?
is there a special technique that i haven't figured out yet? im a self taught, no pattern "seamstress" so i guess anything would help.

i made a shirt the other day and i absolutely love it but where i hemmed the bottom, im afraid that im going to break the thread when i put it on or take it off because it doesn't stretch with the material.....

i was in desperate need of a pin cushion and i didn't want that "tomato" looking one that fabric/craft stores have so i decided to make my own "cute" one.
this is actually before i stuffed it....

i still had some sewing to do...
but it's done now (now that im too lazy to take a picture)...!
