WOW- That's soooo adorable!! I never thought of using a paper bag---it's neat how you can then store those little note cards inside of it!! Sorry if this was already asked but...how did you bind everything together? annnd did you actually sew on the paper bags? it looks like it's stitched in places---???

This took some planning Smiley ---I started out using a pattern but got too frusterated and threw it out (mom wasn't so happy bout that) and just did it my own way...I'm not one with patterns anyways---

Wow, those are all VERY adorable Smiley This was such a great idea! I think ima give it a shot! I just a made a ribbon woven purse about a month ago and that was a pain in the but to weave so i'm sure since the measuring tapes are sturdy, unlike the ribbon, it may be a bit easier to construct-- Ahh- I'm excited Cheesy How many measuring tapes did you use for the big purse? Also, did you just sew them on your sewing machine? Or how did you actually make it into a purse?
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Alice In Wonderland Cigarbox on: May 19, 2006 03:24:15 PM
I love love love Alice in Wonderland so i decided to make her on a purse Smiley
(Sorry that the pictures don't really show the detail---they are a tad blurry...my digital camera is dying and i need to recharge the battery--i was just a bit excited to post it and didn't want to wait for it to recharge up! I tried to zoom in closer on the back of the purse using my computer, so i hope that helps a little---What do you guys think?

Ohh, and in case anyone is wondering I used acrylic paints with a gloss finish over it and then on the inside i lined it with felt from Hobby Lobby  Grin
