1  Martini Recipe Book [Kyou Don't Look!] in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by talihina_sky on: August 15, 2007 09:53:02 AM
This is a Martini Recipe Book [based on this book/set by Pink Polka Dots]. Kyou asked for it during the Ongoing Wish Swap 22, but was flaked on, so I stepped in as a Swap Angel.  Smiley

I'll be sending it out tomorrow...I hope she likes it!  Cheesy

2  Flowers, Fast Food, and a Muffin. in Stenciling: Completed Projects by talihina_sky on: May 22, 2007 01:18:27 PM
I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I had to use 2 hands to hold the camera and keep it steady, (for some reason I couldn't stop shaking...caffeine maybe?) so they aren't that great.  Grin

I made (for my brother a while ago) a shirt of those weird talking fast food items. Wink

This one I made just the other day. I made the stencils out of a picture of fabric found at reprodepotfabrics.com that I thought was pretty. It wasn't easy to cut out. My index finger hurt afterward.

Threadless design. It was a good image to stencil...didn't take too long, and didn't require brain power.

And lastly, this was a shirt I made using a lino-cut print instead of a stencil. I kinda re-con-ed it as well.

4  Re: Batman & assorted villain stencils? in Stenciling: Discussion and Questions by talihina_sky on: May 02, 2007 09:18:11 PM
I've found a few pictures that I'm working on turning into stencils for you, but in the meantime I found a stencil of Batman <--Click. And I have no idea what he's doing...dancing?

*If you want to do any of the following in outline only, just treat the grey areas as if they were white.

Here's Joker...After you print it, you'll probably want to go over the fine black lines with a marker. I tried to make them bolder, but I don't have a steady hand. Smiley I left it gray-scale so you could see the detail in his jacket, too. You could also make it a multicolored stencil.

And Catwoman (not Batgirl...my bad Wink ) I left it gray-scale again for the same reasons.

I can't remember who this is! I think it's Ivy. Gray-scale for same reasons.

Finally, Harley. It's a bit rough around the edges since I had to magnify it.

And that kids, is what I do when I can't sleep. Haha! Smiley
ENJOY!  Grin

Here you are! You'll probably need to re-size them.

6  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 19 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by talihina_sky on: March 01, 2007 03:27:19 PM
I received both of my packages yesterday from TwiztedBlood and zombiekilla!

From zombiekilla I got this sweet purse with a patch of The Black Keys on it. (They're one of my favorite bands.)

From TwiztedBlood I got some really pretty paper (I love all of the designs!) and a few stickers.

Thanks so much to both of you guys!

7  Linoleum Prints (9 Pictures) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by talihina_sky on: February 18, 2007 11:12:21 AM
These are a few prints I made 2 summers ago with the non-profit organization ArtWorks.

My group took a walk to a local park to gather inspiration, and these prints are what I came up with

^ I think that one is my favorite. The girl is me, from a picture when I was about 4 years old. Next is just a prety design, and after that is a texture assignment

They also made a calendar of some of the prints that were made. Here is mine, for November:

Thanks for looking! Smiley

Ok, I finally had time to get these up! Here's pictures of the package ellie.henry sent me! I hope I have everything in these pictures, I already started to use a lot of it. Smiley

^ This is a picture of the whole she-bang.

*A journal, with an attached pen
*Soap making kit
*CSI Game
*2 balls of center-pull yarn (It's so stinkin' soft!)
*Fleece capri pants (They're the green thing under the stuffed animal)
*A few bags of tea
*A stuffed animal she named Chester Cheesy
*Note cards
*A cool monster purse (It's nice and soft too, haha)
*The best pill case ever! It's so organized, it makes me happy.

Thanks again Ellie! It was awesome swapping with you! Cheesy

9  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by talihina_sky on: December 12, 2006 07:03:49 PM
Ok, so I figured this would be the perfect time to add my 2 cents.  Grin

My hair is normally light brown, and my eyebrows are black. I recently had my hair bleached and I love it! Here's a picture...and keep in mind that I never wear that much eye makeup, it was for a 'special' occasion...

I'm going to dye it back to 'normal' tomorrow since the roots are showing pretty badly. I'm kinda sad, but I think it would be a lot of work to keep up the blonde.

So that goes to show ya that dark eyebrows can look good with light hair, or vice versa...at least that's what I think.  Roll Eyes

10  I like stripes. (6 pics) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by talihina_sky on: June 27, 2006 01:20:33 PM
Here are a few things I made a while ago...just some simple recons. Cheesy

This one I made for school last year. It was made out of a huge red/white striped shirt and a huge grey shirt that said "Dick's On The Grand Poker Run" with an image of people rafting along with playing cards. (The only reason this is significant is because I live in Grand Rapids, MI where the Grand River is.) It doesn't have a seperating zipper, it stops at the bottom.  Roll Eyes A little inconvienent, but that's ok.  Smiley

This one was made just for kicks, out of a solid blue shirt and a yellow/white striped shirt.

I had stenciled this image onto a grey t-shirt but when I washed it, it got waaay too small for me. I cut out the stencil and put it on a t-shirt that fits. I suppose this doesn't involve too much skill. Smiley

Before: Mainly a close-up picture of the stencil in detail

After:

(It really bugs me that these pictures aren't the same size. I'm weird like that.)

Thanks for looking!
