1  What do you think of my style ? in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions by lemontree on: August 06, 2006 11:38:35 AM
Hi fellow curvacious ladies !

I am curvacious and short. Once I managed to get rid of some of my overweight, but a few years ago it came back again, and I think it will stay .... So, I accept my pounds but still like clothes ! And that is not easy because for some reason people think that you must wear black only when you are like me. But I like colors ! And I like to have something different, not those mass made clothes for curvacious women, because that way we all become lookalikes... especially because there is not too much to choose from.

So I started sewing for myself; and again it was difficult, this time to find nice patterns. Most of the patterns I used made me look old, fat and not very me.... I also found out that I like wide clothes, not only because I think they look great on curvacious women, but also because they are very comfortable and I love the style ! That's where I started to make my own patterns. I got a lot of nice compliments from a wide range of people (both curvacious and skinny ones): hip ! looks great ! makes you younger ! chic ! etc...  then a curvacious friend asked me to make some clothes for her. She is modeling some of it in the pictures; doesn't she look great ? I have still problems with my underwear though; especially for my bra I never find what I am looking for. So the next step is to make great underwear: colorful, easy, comfortable and funny......

Please tell me what you curvacious ladies think of my style of clothing ?
