1  Letter Have It -- Help me! in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by kissycat on: May 18, 2006 04:18:39 PM
I've only knit one other FO so please forgive my stupidity!  I've looked for the answer to this and can't find it.

On the center panel, after you knit the one side for the zipper, the instructions say:  "Join yarn to sts on 1st holder.  Work in garter on these sts for 9"."  Ok, so my question is, how do you join the yarn?  Do you just put the stitches from the holder onto one of your needles and start knitting with your ball of yarn?  That's what I've started to do, but the end of the yarn is so loose.  It just doesn't seem right.

Here's a hazy pic to help it make more sense (maybe):

Thanks in advance for your help!

2  Boy beanie custom fit to big noggin in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by kissycat on: May 16, 2006 10:58:46 PM
I made this boy beanie at least a month ago.  I had to add extra rows so it would fit my BF's big head.  I didn't even know he had an oversized melon until I made this hat for him.

This was super-easy to make and came out looking good.

Please ignore the "cool face" my BF was trying to make in this pic.  He's such a goofball!

3  Violet beauregard in blue, brown, and white in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by kissycat on: May 16, 2006 10:26:19 PM
This is my first post of an actual FO.  I think the skirt turned out really cute, but it doesn't look good on me.  I've gained a few pounds and look lumpy in it.  Plus, it's a little see-through.  I'm not sure why that happened....my gauge was correct.  So I won't be posting the pic of me in it!
