I finished my Knitted Babe this week, her name is Imogen. She turned out quite cute if I do say so myself!

I know this is an old thread, but I finally finally finished seaming my Manly Sweater. The pieces were finished in February of this year but I was so scared of seaming it took me this long to finally get over it!

I've blogged about the sweater here :

I made another one of these over the weekend. I tried the ribbing this time but I actually prefer the plain stockinette version. I think it gives it a softer look.

5  Head Huggers Earwarmer! in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by jillz on: February 17, 2005 02:39:53 PM
I made this today for a swap partner. I love it and I'm going to make one for myself!

It was really simple and only took a few hours. This is definitely a great last minute gift!

Re: Sleeve increases

I decided to increase on the edge stitch on each side by knitting into the front and back of each edge. As I am increasing the number of stitches, I am adding a new pattern repeat of the rib pattern. I.e, I started off increasing with a purl stitch at each end, and then after increasing on both sides the next time, I am now ending in a knit stitch. Once I have increased to 5 knit stitches, I am purling the last stitch and so on so I have the rib pattern continued with the increasing. The pattern wasn't specific about this bit but I figured that it would look nicer than just a bunch of St st increases.

As far as increasing/decreasing on the WS rows, I just did it on the right side rows when I could.

I've finished the front and back and I'm working on the 1st sleeve. My hubby wanted black, gold & white so that he could wear the sweater to local sporting events  Roll Eyes (We live in Pittsburgh and all of the sports teams here have the same colors).

Here's a shot of the completed back :

8  Re: stitch n' bitch felted marsupial tote in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by jillz on: May 11, 2004 02:30:36 PM
Here are my Marsupial Totes!

The one on the left was only my second knitting project. I have been crocheting for a long time though, so I'm not really a newbie to yarn. It's made with Lamb's Pride in Aztec Turquoise & Limeade and it was inspired by Daria's bag earlier in this thread. I love it.

The second bag was made on smaller needles with Rowan Magpie. I help two different colors together for the bottom to get the speckled look. The colors were blue & green.

I've also made a scarf and an iPod cozy that I need to sew and felt. I'm working on a second scarf and waiting for some wool to be sent to me from America to start on another bag, the Fiona. The free pattern can be found here http://bruxknits.motime.com/

Just wanted to say thanks for all of your pictures and inspirations too. This place has really got me motivated.
