[Miss Mermaid Strikes Back]

I received a wonderful package yesterday from my swap angel Miss Mermaid Strikes Back

She sent a watermelon coin purse.  It's fully lined! Watermelon candy (I did receive 2 tootsie pops, I have never tried that flavour before) and chap stick with holder.  Fish beads and buttons.  A flower brooch and some really cool alphabet brads.

I received my magic yarn ball fom Jainy this morning!  She sent some great stuff!

The 1 skein pattern to go with the yarn is for a purse with ring handles and a flower applique.  I can't wait to get started on that! 
All the squares of cotton are amazing!  Out of all of them I only ended up having one of those fabrics in my stash (the one to the left of the pattern with all the squiggles).  Wonder Wallets here I come!

I've been working on this bag for a few months now and I am finally done!!!  I am so happy with how it turned out.

The watermelon slice measures 18 x 10 (inches) and with the strap it is 18 x 26.  I chenilled the pieces using 100% quilting cotton. It is interfaced with crafters fleece and lined with black kasha lining (the same as the strap).

This is my first completed purse this summer.  I figured I would start off with something very simple.  I used simplicity it's so easy 5151.  The bottom actually fits on this pattern.  The purse is fully lined and it is interfaced with  crafters fleece.
