31  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / aaahh!! help? on: June 17, 2006 12:14:25 AM
alright- i know this is a bit late, but i was wondering if any of you brilliant craftsters could help me out, my mother wants me to make a journal for her friends daughter who is graduating from high school, the only things i know about the girl are that she like horses, and according to my mom, wears chains for necklaces (small ones i think)- i'm almost done the journal, but i don't know what to do for the cover- i'd like to do something cool, but i'm not completely sure what she would like- and i've kinda gone blank--- alright - any suggestions would be uber-welcome (i have until noon tomorrow)
32  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / a bunch of oddly colored people - and a disgusting number of pictures on: May 25, 2006 09:15:26 PM
here are most of my oil paintings, i have issues with color, and i refuse to buy paints other than the primary colors (and black and white)
so these are the result-

first, here is bob marley, i painted him 2 summers ago-

heres a random old man- for some reason, pictures of old angry men make me happy

j. robert oppenheimer

sorry its so blurry

here are two that i don't like very much- but whatever- i didn't treat the paper (or in the second case, cardboard) well so it kinda made thngs more difficult

i did this one last year, its a  mixture between a painting of bernadine dohrn, a victim of the french revolution, and an illumination of Hildegarde of Bingen

so thats all, any comments or whatever are uber welcome- and i've decided to spend the summer getting better at painting, so any ideas for improvement are definitely good-
33  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / a painting of Hunter S. Thompson on: April 06, 2006 08:09:07 PM
