 It has been a while since I've posted here, so I figure I'd show you some projects I've done lately. I also have some questions, any feed back would be nice, and my bf would appreciate it too- I keep on asking him questions that he just doesn't comprehend ("should I bring this seam in?"..... "uh.. sure"), poor guy.



this was made from one of my boyfriend's old shirts.


I may have to mess a little with this dress- I've lost some weight since I originally made it.

i'm not entirely sure whether this is actually a pop up book or not, it's more like a page from a pop up book. I got the idea for the construction from a book I found at the library. This was my first attempt, I basically decided get all the mistakes out of the way and hopefully next time come out with something better.
At any rate, here it is-

ok, this is my first post in this section, i just learned how to stencil using freezer paper- It's very addictive...

I found this fabric while i was raiding my mum's fabric stash, she wanted me to use this fabric for something, but i'm not really the sort who wants to wear clothing (in this case a skirt) with cute little children around the hemline, to remedy the... quaintness , i stenciled an image from edward gorey's The Gashlycrumb Tinies on the front of the skirt



this is the first one I did, it's john waters strangling a flamingo (though hopefully you can tell that on your own) I'm not especially happy with it, and as you can tell, i was not in an ironing sort of mood when i photographed it-



and last, the lovely marty feldman as Igor in Young Frankenstein- this is also on a skirt, in this case the fabric came from a hideous sheet that we inherited from my grandparents

This was my 3rd attempt at a red bomber, i ended up using seven strands of yarn and size 15 needles, and i made up the pattern as i went along-
here is is on me-

I did this hat instead of a paper one day, i used 3 different strands of yarn, 2 wool yarns and one alpaca, it is very warm (and pointy)







so what do you guys think?

i made this skirt a little while ago out of big bag of scraps i had been saving from other projects, some of the piece were too cool to not use, but too small to make anything out of-

anyway.. here it is-









as you can probably see, the hem is a bit wonky from the fabric stretching, i'll probably still wear it, but i'm going to try to fix it somehow (any suggestions for this would be welcome)

once, a very long time ago, i had a wonderful pair of plaid converse, ever since the sad day that my mother decided that there were more holes than shoe left and discarded them, i have longed for another pair of plaid shoes,
here is my latest (and so far most successful) effort

the shoes were 3 dollars, and the part that is now plaid was a funny tan color-







any comments/ ideas are uber welcome

i found some excellent black knit fabric at my favorite fabric store,
the dress is very soft inside, and both are uber-comfy-




any comments and suggestions are welcome- i think next i am going to fix my patten for the dress a little and make a purple on with sleeves
