Hi, guys!
You are all so talented!
I am quite new to craftster, but not to crafting.  I am thinking of listing beadwork and maybe a few knitted or sewn items/reconstructed clothes on TM and was wondering how successful you have found it?  I like to make original/funky stuff.  I would just be interested to know if it is worth the hassle or not.
Thanks very much!

heeey success on trademe is all about self promotion. make sure you describe everything REALLY detailed as this makes people trust you more. and use gallery. its 55c per item but its stops people overlooking your items Smiley

That is pretty much the coolest collar ever.  What is it shaped like as a flat piece (before it's sewn on to the shirt)?

i think you'll find its basicly just a long rectangle.

thats interesting. i like the concept of the dress, but im not sure i liike how you did the top of it. also, wont that be hard for the model to walk in? if the dress isnt just as tall as she is, she walk on the train. and since there is no fabric in the back the skirt will roam and wont stay in front. either way i like the skirt.  Wink

heya, i understand what you mean with the train at the front- its not exactly practical, but its purpose is simply for posing and photographing. and when the model does need to walk she picks up one side-and the dress cascades from that point Smiley

Reminds me of Alexander Mcqueen Fall 2006 - the one shown with the antlers. It's a beautiful dress!

yeah thats the picture she gave me to work from!

oh and the comp was last Night and my hairdresser got 2nd place out of all the best apprentices in the country! i'll be sure to get pictures of the finished look!

Wow!  Shocked

That's beautiful. I love LOVE lace... and the lace ruffles on the skirt? Yum. The open back detail is very nice too. I love the modern mixed with vintage look. You have great style.

i love lace too! haha the bulk of the skirt is actually net curtaining and $15 a metre....and theres 5 metres in there! not to mention the rest of the dress sheesh Tongue

well my hairdresser won the regional hair comp a couple of months back so shes going up to the supreme nationals this weekend! so, she asked me to dress her model as i run an independent label.

so here is the dress!
from the front its extremely conservative, but when the model turns.... its a seductive little number with cute bustle, open back and super shortness!

picaturrrres...

the models hair is going to be a deep brown and blond with LOTS of texture.

its a HUGE competition, with the color, cut and style having to contribute to the overall look, and they have a best dressed award! fingers crossed :S

tash recieved second place in the "night hair" section and tells me everyone commented on the outfit Smiley

thanks for everyones nice comments!
