Thanks everyone - I appreciate you taking the time to look.

I'm working on larger formats as well as birds of prey but am still working the bug out. Sometimes things don't scale up like you think it will  Tongue

Hey jungrrl - I've got it!

It was my firewall settings, not the browser. I've already uploaded a photo so it's working now.

In case you need it for the future, the software firewall setting for cookie handling was too restrictive so that was overridding the browser settings.

Thanks!

Thanks for trying to help, jungrrl.

Either Internet Explorer or Firefox - it's the same. I changed browsers just now and checked to be sure. Same for other sites; mostly shopping carts don't work or I'm told to enable cookies to continue. That never works either.

The problem seems to be with my system setup and I keep hoping that if I ask enough people that someone with vast computing knowledge will have heard of it. Must just be me and five other people in the country with the problem Smiley

Thanks for the time and effort and for passing it on. Thanks to Leah to for considering it as well.

I'll just keep working around it! Wink

Thanks jungrrl for the reply. Sorry about getting it in the wrong place Embarrassed

I just cleared the cookies and the temp files - no luck.

When I go to my picture hosting, I see my user gallery with my pictures. It shows the sort and email options and reports 1 unregistered user viewing. I'm guessing that's me.

There isn't an option to upload that I can see (maybe my error). If I click to login and enter my username and password (even though I'm already logged into Craftster), a redirect screen comes back and informs me "Login Successful" then takes me to the main photohosting page. Still no way to upload a photo.

I've got a sinking feeling this is a problem with my browser somehow as it isn't the first time the whole cookie/cache/popup thing has caused me problems. I have had to abandon visiting several websites that I can no longer use or view properly because of it.

Any advice you have would wonderful as no one, least of all me, has been able to figure it out. If no glory, I can always link to my blog images. Roll Eyes

I can see my gallery with the pictures, but can't seem to post any new ones. Cry I login to PH and it's as if I don't exist. It's been a while since I posted so maybe something's different. Or, I'm just being dense, but would really appreciate any help.

I've been seriously missing in action from Craftster lately - what can I say? Stuff just gets in the way!

Here's a blog post of three of a series I've been working on. It's a new direction for me and has been very enjoyable. What's the verdict?

Sorry about not posting the image, but Photo Hosting doesn't seem to recognize me anymore. Will look into that.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Distressed Daises Painted Switchplate on: July 09, 2008 07:06:54 AM
Hi All, Sorry for disappearing there -lots of work that had to be done.

I hope this isn't too late to help, Dollydagger, but I used Nimocks clear spray sealer on the switchplates. I'm not sure it would help for something large because it's kind of pricey for that. Good old varnish is what I would try first -whatever you use, be sure to make a test sample first. I learned that the hard way!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement, the Etsy trial was a limited success. The switchplates are down, but I'm in the midst of working up some 5 x 7 original watercolor sketches for that market. Will keep you posted.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Please opine. on: May 24, 2007 02:21:03 PM
Hey nillakitty!

I agree with april_cocaine - it is beyond fashion. It's style!

Personally, I don't see shrugs going away anytime this year or even into '08. The lace stitch pattern is low-key enough to add interest but not overwhelm. I say go for it, just be sure you love the color Smiley

Wow! You are so CREATIVE!!

I just love it when someone makes something cool out of stuff just laying around the house  Grin

Hey mytadhamilton!

I like that yarn - especially the varigated effect! As long as the varigation isn't too strong (a striking contrast in color or value), the finished item should look great. Kind of like a tapestry! In Crochet!!  Grin

Enjoy!
