y'all make me feel soooo good.  thank you!

Def, rocks!   ,l..l
what gauge wire did you use? And what size hook?

the wire is 28 gauge and the hook was 1.5 mm.  i find the stainless steel wire is rough on the hands.  the easiest to work with is copper of course because it is a soft metal.  and with the amount of colors out there, think of all the beautiful angels you can create!

thanks again!

made a few years ago before arthritis!

crocheted with stainless steel wire.  my goal was to do it in one continuous piece.  no cutting the wire!  it took a bit, but i did it.  phew!

she is approx. 3" tall.

thanks for looking!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: crochet wire lily on: May 26, 2010 07:19:58 PM
i didn't use a pattern.  i never do.  i'm not patient enough!  so i make it up along the way.  sorry!  i know that when i was crocheting, i kept thinking leaf, leaf, leaf....

i used coated copper wire.  26gauge for the petals because i wanted it to be stiffer to retain its shape.  the blue wire is 28guage, which is what i usually crochet with.  much easier on these arthritic hands!

the lily is about 3.5 - 4 inches across.

thank you all for your comments.  i really appreciate it.  so much so, that i promise NOT to be a lurker anymore.
i wanted to post some more stuff that i've made, but our pc got the blue screen of death and is awaiting surgery to remove all needed and wanted files.  Undecided
