1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / quick fairy costume? on: October 29, 2007 08:17:02 PM
anyone have any ideas?  i have the wings already...and the costume needs to be work appropriate (nothing short, no skirt, nothing too low) if you have any ideas, let me know.  I am allowed to dress up on Wednesday and need to get something made tomorrow...Smiley
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Bright Pink Convertible Dress on: July 17, 2007 07:00:24 PM
I read all 96 (ish) pages of the sew-along for this amazing dress...and I thought that it would be the right project to get me back into sewing...i used to sew all the time and make it to state fair and stuff....but recently i have been more into crocheting and knitting....anyways...without further ado...here is my version of the convertible dress....
all images are clickable and i decided to show two ways that i like to wrap the straps....i made the skirt a half circle....because a full circle wouldn't look good on me...it's made from some jersey fabric that i bought on sale at joann's

I babysit my one co-workers child occasionally and was recently invited to the girl's first b-day on July 13.....so i had to make her something....i couldn't just get the gift from the store....

The hoodie is a free pattern on the web at the caron website...and the giraffe is from a book that i bought...

i have about 6 balls of DMC senseo and i really want to make a camisole out of it.....something lacy maybe? anyways....if anyone has some ideas, please let me know.....i would prefer something that is free, but if it's a pattern that is paid, i will still look...thanks!
