Lovelyislacey sent me a great package and I can't even find all the bits now since I've scattered them in my use. Lovelyislacey, if you have pics of the package you sent, I'd love for you to post them because I'm camera-less for the time being.
She sent me a workout DVD (awesome!) by Suzanna Cox called Firm It Up! A Dance Workout. It's hard.. ugh!
A white tank (shirt) with Ganesha embroidered (really well) on the front. This is my absolute favorite thing EVER!
And a beautifully painted recipebook. It's so cute the little chef on the cover, I wish I did have a camera to show you all. Inside are several yummy recipes that Lovelyislacey fixes when she wants something healthy that doesn't taste healthy. (You are right the oatmeal bars are ridiculously good!)
thanks! i had no idea that people actually know about munchkins:))) my company is totally addicted, and they are super fun:D hmmm, if i made a custom card, is it appropriate to post it in craftster?)
it is actually free in steve jackson's web;)) avatar, not munchkins:))
The gazebo card is one of my favorites!! I'll have to check out his website.
I found out about the game by walking into a comic book store to look at games that are like Settlers of Caton, but found Munchkins was the only game that had in stock and I had to have it! It's hilarious and everyone loves to play it now.
I totally think it would be apporpriate to post a custom card on Craftster! If you do, I might steal the idea for our set though.
crnaofca--what a wonderful package!! I think it is weird that the things we take for granted you enjoy so much--like kool-aid! ha ha
The yarn looks like it will keep you busy!! Very nice pikabean--what a nice mix of stuff from hair dye to yarn!!
You look so cute in that visor!!
well, i guess it is normal, we are pretty poor country and, hm, technologicaly challenged:) for example my monthly salary is about 150$. some average salary would be 300-400$. with a standard like that, we can't afford to import luxury stuff:) that's why i have never seen plastic knitting needles (i make wooden ones myself, much cheaper) or kool-aid or cool hair dyes... that's why i love swapping, i can always make something, person that gets it will appreciate that, and i can get a lot of funky supplies:)
HAHA I know what you mean!! I cringe when they move them. Did you see the one show where they did the candy sculptures?? OIne went crashing to the floor and it sound like someone threw a chair through a window. I giggled, was that wrong??
They just had a wedding episode on last week and the cake that one was gorgeous! I tried looking for a pic but couldn't find one.
I'm worse than that. I don't just giggle, I laugh out loud. I know, I'm terrible.
I'm a nut for all of those cake shows on food network (the contests to see who makes the best wedding cake, theme cake, etc.) and your cake is gorgeous!! It looks like it could have been in the contest with some of the best pastry chefs.
I love those shows too! I always get so nervouse when it's time to move the cakes and treats to the show-off table. (Although sometimes I want one of them to fall; how evil is that...)
How long did it take? I did a wedding cake a few years ago for my friends, it was 3 layers, stacked, covered in fondant and with white and red fondant roses, and a lot of tulle (very fluffy looking) and it took me a total of about 10 hours. 8 hours one day, and then another couple the next day. And a lot of cursing . It came out fabulous, but wow. It's a ton of work. I'd love to make my own cake someday for my wedding, but i dont' know if i'd have the time that close to the wedding. I hope I can manage it.
To make this and the back-up cakes, it took about 10 hours (most of that in baking), not including the time it took to make the flowers in the months coming up to the wedding.
