21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Panic! At The Disco hoodie!!! on: May 09, 2006 09:46:10 PM
Alright my dear friends, here it is...
My boyfriend loves the band, Panic! at the Disco, and so for this past Christmas I took a regular black hoodie and spiced it up. Or as Emeril would say, "kicked it up a notch"...anyhow...all I did was buy some felt, and to make it more stiff, I applied iron-on interfacing to the back.  Then, I traced the letters on the felt and used a x-acto knife to cut the inside of the lettering out.  After that, I just stitched the letters on with a sewing machine, but where the felt "N" crosses over the zipper, I had to hand stitch.  Enjoy!  (sorry about the bad angle, he was being a doober... Grin Grin Grin)

I'm not sure if this will help, but when I used to highlight my hair, I would put this stuff called Cholesterol (sounds gross, I know) on my hair.  You can probably get it in any hair/beauty store and it should come in a tube.  You just put it on your hair and let it sit for a while. (I'm sure there are better instructions on the package).  As well, if you go into one of these stores and ask a professional, I'm sure they can direct you to a product that will help your hair.  Smiley

Haha, this is wonderful!  My boyfriend has a bunch of t-shirts, and so he attempted to make a t-shirt quilt a long time ago.  Needless to say, he only got halfway through before he accidently sewed through his thumb.  Hehe...he was fine, but scared to sew anymore so I had to finish it.  It didn't come out half as nice as yours so after seeing this post, I've been inspired to possibly redo it.   Grin

Beautiful, just gorgeous!
I mean, turning trash into art is something that people have been doing for a long time, but it was mostly for artsy-fartsy purposes, and not really wearable...you know, like the typical garbage bag duct-taped together, worn by a dinky fashion model down a runway.  This, on the other hand is versatile: it's not only artistic, but can be worn in an everyday setting.  I adore it!
