1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Monetarily challenged Canuck NEEDS Archie McPhee catalogue! on: January 06, 2005 07:49:35 PM
Hi there. I was just wondering if some kind American craftster would mind helping out a Canadian craftster...

I would really like to get my hands on a copy of the Archie McPhee catalogue (and possibly a digitalvision illustration catalogue free but unavailable in Canada) to work on marble magnets.

I hate the winter and I need something to keep myself busy. I find crafting helps me from suffering a severe case of the winter blues (that and the occasional cig). I have fabric and felt and zippers and velcro and all that great sewing stuff...but my sewing machine died in the midst of the Christmas rush!  Cry

I feel soooooo craftless (and broke thanks to the holidays).

Could someone please help me out - I'm thinking the Archie McPhee catalogue would really cheer me up!

I know that I can order it online for $2 but I have no credit card and frankly no money...I'm just making due with what supplies I have right now.

If anyone out there can help or even recommend Canadian catalogues for marble magnet images I'd really appreciate it!!!!

Thanks!

2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / 23-year-old's security blanket needs to be retired...HELP!!! on: May 16, 2004 07:59:20 PM
I bought my bf an AC/DC hoodie for Christmas a year or so ago. He's worn it everyday.....I AM NOT KIDDING....with a fresh shirt on underneath, of course.  Tongue

He even wore it in the summertime on his motorcycle so that it wouldn't get too drafty.  Roll Eyes

Anyhoo....sadly  Cry Cry Cry we've both come to the realization that the shirt desperately needs to be retired before it falls off of him in tattered pieces. He loves this hoodie and it would really be sad to see it go. The front has the band's logo on it and the back has the song titles from the album.

His birthday's coming up in August and I KNOW you guys are wicked at coming up with ideas for repurposing stuff....

any ideas for repurposing his beloved "security blanket"? Tongue
